November Keepers and Losers

It's been a long time since I blogged,  please forgive me.  Mama Lace is back.  And here is mylittle list of keepers and losers for November 2013!

Keepers:

 1.  Bioderma Cicabio Creme. Amazing stuff.  I have minor eczema on my face that gets a bit blister like and crusty.  This stuff helped a lot in a very short period of time.  It has Zinc and Copper which have antibacterial propertie. AND not to mention Hyaluronic acid,  which is a very popular skin care ingredient these days and is said to help with acne scars,  atopic dermatitis and our old lady wrinkles.

2.Lush limited edition Santa Baby lip tint.
Such a pretty red lip tint from Lush.  I have other Lush lip tints and I adore them.  This is a new favourite-  smells like sweet cola and has a slightly coral deep red quality.  I am very fair,  and this color looks really nice on my skin tone.  It's comfortable to wear,  has a very slight staining matte quality.  It's a modern classic red lip and an overall enjoyable experience.

3. Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes.     Thanks to blogger and YouTube lovely
Essie Button (or Estée),  I tried out these amazing shadow tints.  Quick, easy, understated and soft.  I love the muted shades. It's simple to just swipe on your lids,   blend in with your fingers,  throw on some mascara and a red lip (Santa Baby?!) and you are CHIC AS SHIT.   Beautiful,  simple and classy like Estée.  I have the 3 colours recommended by Estée- Fuller Fudge, Whopping Willow and Lots O'latte.

4.  Moroccan Oil Curl Defining Cream.  I have been using this product on all of my curly hair clients.  Since I am gleefully self employed, I am not forced to use any specific brands in my salon,  and therefore try all sorts of hair products and brands.  I love trying new things on clients and think of it as passionate research.  So far,  I have had great success with this product.  It's lightweight enough,  yet very moisturizing and effective.   It tackles moderate levels of frizz if applied correctly.  I used a separate and twist method for curls and dry with a diffuser or hood dryer in salon,  but have air dried my own waves with this product with non-crusty results.    It has the typical musky Moroccan oil smell which is like a sexy man-  so that doesn't hurt.

5. Silky Chamomile Cleansing Oil from The Body Shop.  A newish product for me.  It didn't irritate my skin,  and it did a great job removing makeup.  I used to quite a few times to remove eye makeup.  It did and awesome job,  but does temporarily affect my vision.  I just get a bit blurry eyed and panicky,  but its nothing serious or lasting.

 Sad Losers :(

 1.  Bangstyle Hydrating Shampoo.  Love the hydrating conditioner,  but something is mildly ghoulish about this shampoo.    Nothing has given me that level or scalp irritation before.  It was likely more of an allergic reaction than anything wrong with the shampoo,  but regardless my scalp hasn't been the same since.  I wanted to love it,  but this shampoo and I had a different destiny.

 2.  Olay CC cream.   Nope.    I don't want it.   I love Olay,  it has deep emotional attachment for me as it is the one cosmetic my mom has ever been passionate about.  But this stuff makes me greasy and starts out orange on me, then oxidizes oompa copper.    I am going to hold onto it to try it out as potential leg makeup,  as I am a pasty fool,  and I hate to waste.
