Sunday Photo shoot!
I am doing a series of solo and collaborative photo shoots over the next few months. Depending on how well you know me, you may know that there are very few things in life I enjoy more than a good old fashion photo shoot. I truly love styling hair, and getting to direct my own shoots is the best. I also am married to a very talented photographer, who enjoys collaborating on projects like these.
I am going to hopefully be doing more and more over the next few months, varying from simple and pretty to ridiculous. Stay tuned for the awesomeness!
Meanwhile, on Sunday, Austin and I did a very successful shoot with the very talented and supremely gorgeous Kari. Kari is a client of mine, and I also regard her as a friend. She is hot and a very talented singer/songwriter for grinConvention, here in Vancouver. Or check them out here!
Kari came in on Sunday sporting some grown out red color and we did quite the transformation prior to the shoot. For all those hairdressers out there - I used Davines Mask, in some weirdo ash copper browns (I know). The end result was beautiful, warm and shimmery. We had cut her hair a couple weeks before, so we ended up just setting her hair and pinning in carefully to create amazing 60s sex hair. Just a little lip gloss (Scott Barnes Lipslicks in Provocative) and some eyelash enhancing and we went and shot it outside in. I think it turned out beautifully and I am really happy.
Here are some shots for you to sample!
